British GT: Points for both Paddock cars at Silverstone 500
British GT Report - Round 3, Silverstone 500

The British GT Championhsip's flagship Silverstone 500 round finished with both Paddock Motorsport's entries 10th in class, as we take points with both cars for the first time in the series.
On Saturday, the GT3 #11 of Martin Plowman and substitute Andrew Howard qualified 17th while Ashley Marshall and Moh Ritson's #26 was 12th in GT4 qualifying, so both had some ground to make up to get into the points.
Before the first round of pitstops, Andrew Howard, driving a McLaren GT3 for the first time, had already made up plenty of places, fighting for P11 with another McLaren, which put him briefly in P5 when other cars started to come in.
A spin late in his stint and then a stop-go penalty for a pit-stop infringement meant that Martin Plowman found himself in P14 after the first driver change, but the pace was there to catch up.
An hour later, Howard was back in the car and fending off the #32 Lamborghini for 7th, and after the final pit-stop, the #11 was in P11 again - which was to become P10 as another car dropped out late on.
The GT4 started with Ashley Marshall in the car, and he made a strong start, settling in P9 after passing a number of cars in the opening laps. Both Marshall and then Ritson ran high up the order at times, Marshall making it into P2 just before the final stop.
When he did come in, and Ritson's short final stint began, the car was in P12, but he had the pace to make it up to P10, setting his fastest lap and finishing 20 seconds clear of P11.
That made our #26 car the fastest McLaren in the GT4 class, and meant there were points for both cars in our second weekend running two cars in British GT.
The result remains provisional as the success penalties from Oulton have yet to be clarified; however the #11 car finished with a 21 second gap to the next car, meaning that the maximum 20 second penalty will not change the result.
